Travel Information by Train

When traveling from out of town, you first need to make your way to Penn Station. Amtrak and New Jersey Transit trains arrive at Penn Station. Metro-North trains arrive at Grand Central and you must take the Shuttle (S) to Times Square. Then go one stop downtown on the A, C, E, 1, 2, or 3.

Once you reach Penn Station, take the Long Island Rail Road, Babylon Local to Rockville Center. See their online schedule for details. From there it is a very short walk to the hall.

Walking:

From LIRR station, walk north on N. Village Avenue for about 0.2 miles to Hempstead Avenue. Turn right on Hempstead Avenue; walk about 0.25 miles. Hall is on the left, on the corner with Lakeview Avenue.

Taxi:

Taxis should be available at street level at the LIRR station. If no taxis are present, there is a taxi dispatch at 50 Front Street, underneath the LIRR platform. If that is not available for some reason, Temple B'nai Sholom recommends Long Island Taxi (516-536-3333).

From Boston

MassPike (I-90) west to I-84 (west)
I-84 (west) to I-91 (south)
I-91 (south) to I-95 (south)
I-95 (south) to the Throgs Neck Bridge to the Cross Island Parkway (south)
Cross Island Parkway (south) to Southern State Parkway (east), to Exit 19 South - Peninsula Blvd
Proceed on Peninsula Blvd for 1 3/4 miles to Lakeview Avenue, turn left
Go to the third traffic light - Hempstead Avenue - turn right
Make first right into parking lot

From Bronx or Westchester

I-95 (south) to the Throgs Neck Bridge to the Cross Island Parkway (south)
Cross Island Parkway (south) to Southern State Parkway (east), to Exit 19 South - Peninsula Blvd
Proceed on Peninsula Blvd for 1 3/4 miles to Lakeview Avenue, turn left
Go to the third traffic light - Hempstead Avenue - turn right
Make first right into parking lot

From Queens or Manhattan

Long Island Expressway (east) or Grand Central Parkway (east) to the Cross Island Parkway (south)
Cross Island Parkway (south) to Southern State Parkway (east), to Exit 19 South - Peninsula Blvd
Proceed on Peninsula Blvd for 1 3/4 miles to Lakeview Avenue, turn left
Go to the third traffic light - Hempstead Avenue - turn right
Make first right into parking lot

From Brooklyn

Belt Parkway into Southern State Parkway (east)
Southern State Parkway (east), to Exit 19 South - Peninsula Blvd
Proceed on Peninsula Blvd for 1 3/4 miles to Lakeview Avenue, turn left
Go to the third traffic light - Hempstead Avenue - turn right
Make first right into parking lot

From Nassau or Suffolk via Southern State

Southern State Parkway (east), to Exit 19 South - Peninsula Blvd
Proceed on Peninsula Blvd for 1 3/4 miles to Lakeview Avenue, turn left
Go to the third traffic light - Hempstead Avenue - turn right
Make first right into parking lot

From Nassau or Suffolk via Sunrise Highway

Sunrise Highway to Long Beach Rd., Turn North
Proceed to Lakeview Avenue, turn left
Proceed to Hempstead Avenue, turn left
Make first right into parking lot

From Five Towns Area

Peninsula Blvd. north to Lakeview Avenue, turn right.
Go to the third traffic light - Hempstead Avenue - turn right
Make first right into parking lot
